We are very pleased with the success of the 1st STEPS Ponseti Seminar SA held on 27&28 July 2006 at the Wits University Donald Gordon Medical Centre. Visiting international paediatric orthopaedic surgeons worked together with local Ponseti doctors to train and inform the South African medical profession on the Ponseti method for clubfoot management. The 60 Attendees included paediatric orthopaedic surgeons, medical registrars, orthotists, physiotherapists and and academics. Due to the positive response, this seminar will be repeated annually. Steps was again nominated beneficiary of the 2007 SAVRALA outreach golf day. The event was held on 20 February at the beautiful Modderfontein Golf Course, Johannesburg. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and SAVRALA members, we raised a record amount. We are proud to be associated with SAVRALA and are grateful for their ongoing support of our work.

STEPS Charity was chosen to be one of 10 nominated beneficiaries of the 2006 Momentum Top Billing Lifestyle Awards. The awards were held at the revamped Johannesburg City Hall in November 2006 at a glamorous ceremony. We are proud to be associated with this high profile event and grateful to Momentum for their generous donation.

Steps Charity has 2 fabulous new Presentation video/DVD's produced by
the creative masterminds at Missing Link. We appreciate the generosity
and enthusiasm of Richard Mulholland and his team at Missing Link (Dave, Motheo and Marc) who donated their time and production costs (and very good cappuccino's) to provide Steps with a powerful communications tool. Thank you!

Steps Charity was the nominated beneficiary of the SAVRALA GOLF DAY held at Houghton Golf Course on 21st February. We had a fantastic response to Steps and the generous bidding at the auction and sale of raffle tickets meant that we could exceed our projected fundraising by 50%. Thanks to all at SAVRALA and the various companies and sponsors who played at the event and donated prizes.
