Help build the Great Wall of STEPS

Cludfoot Awareness Week 3 -9 June 2008

Get awareness for your company or project and help a good cause.

We have only one million bricks for sale at R1.00 each. You can buy the bricks in multiples of 100 (minimum is R100.00).

The wall will be displayed on-line at www.steps.org.za

You choose the material, logo, message, photo to fill the brick space you've bought.

Once we have reached our target of 1,000,000 bricks sold, all the brick owners will receive a certificate and be displayed on the walls of the Johannesburg Paediatric Orthopaedic ward.

All proceeds go directly to STEPS to build the Johannesburg clubfoot project.

This campaign will be supported by the following publicity:
Press releases to the media; media partnerships with Radio, TV, online and press, Viral marketing (Facebook page, emails, etc).

SMS Campaign

Support a clubfoot child. SMS STEPS to 083….. R10.00 charge for every SMS, proceeds to the project.

JOHANNESBURG CLUBFOOT PROJECT

Pilot Project at Jhb hospital to Iowa's Ponseti clinic standard. This would service inner-city and surrounding areas. Eventual roll-out to other major Gauteng hospitals, and other provinces.

Project goals:

  • Fund a physio/clinic assistant - working part-time for STEPS and part-time at the clinic/
  • Provide all necessary materials.
  • Set up Steenbeek FAB manufacturing facility for Jhb Hospital and sale to other hospitals/province and countries - job and fund creation for sustainability.
  • Set up data base and research for medical papers to be presented at international conferences.
  • Build/buy a Johannesburg Ponseti House for out of town patients (similar to Ronald MacDonald House concept, with community help).
  • Build a Ponseti clubfoot clinic at the planned Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital
