These Terms and Conditions (“the Terms and Conditions”) govern your (“the User”) use of the STEPS Charity NPC (“Provider”) website located at the domain name www.steps.org.za (“the Website”). By accessing and using the Website, the User agrees to be bound by the Terms and Conditions set out in this legal notice. The User may not access, display, use, download, and/or otherwise copy or distribute Content obtained on the website for marketing and other purposes without the consent of the Provider.
By using this Website or communicating with the Provider by electronic means, the user consents and acknowledges that any and all agreements, notices, disclosures, or any other communication satisfies any legal requirement, including but not limited to the requirement that such communications should be in writing.
E-Commerce & Privacy
The Website www.steps.org.za sells products for children born with clubfoot and other lower limb disorders. The use of any product bought from this Website is at the purchaser’s risk. The purchaser/ user indemnifies and holds the Provider harmless against any loss, injury or damages which may be sustained as a result of using the products sold on the Website.
The private information required for executing the online orders placed through the website, namely the User’s personal information, delivery address and telephone numbers, will be kept in the strictest confidence by the Provider and not sold or made known to third parties. Only the necessary information, that is the delivery address and contact phone number will be made known to third parties delivering the product.
The Provider undertakes that it has taken all reasonable precautions to secure the credit card processing that is carried out to receive payment for goods sold. The Provider cannot be held responsible for security breaches occurring on the User’s electronic device (Personal Computer or other electronic device used to browse the Website), which may result due to the lack of adequate virus protection software or spyware that the User may inadvertently have installed on his/her device.
The Site may use cookie and tracking technology depending on the features offered. Cookie and tracking technology are useful for gathering information such as browser type and operating system, tracking the number of visitors to the Site, and understanding how visitors use the Site. Cookies can also help customize the Site for visitors. Personal information cannot be collected via cookies and other tracking technology; however, if you previously provided personally identifiable information, cookies may be tied to such information. Aggregate cookie and tracking information may be shared with third parties.
Delivery Information – South Africa
Subject to stock availability with suppliers and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 7 working days and handed over to a courier company for delivery.
Delivery is normally within 2 to 4 working days for all main centres. Regional areas could take longer, depending on location. All deliveries are tracked.
Couriering & Packaging:
Prices shown include courier and packing for all main centres for a package under 2kgs, regional area will have a standard extra charge, otherwise delivery costs are calculated based on the weight and size of the order and delivery destination.

All international deliveries are subject to the import and custom laws of that country and STEPS NPC cannot be held responsible if a parcel or item is detained or confiscated due to these laws. Please contact us for international deliveries and these will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
Please note that additional import duties may be payable by recipients of goods in foreign countries. Kalahari does not know what import duties/levies may be payable, and unfortunately cannot estimate such costs. If you are ordering for delivery beyond our borders, please investigate whether any such import duties/levies would be payable on your order and, if so, the amount thereof.
Terms and Conditions
PLEASE READ OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE ORDERING
Unless otherwise specified, delivery is free in South Africa. For very remote areas not serviced by standard couriers The Provider will deliver via Post Office, or to the nearest town to the User that is accessible by Aramex Delivery Unlimited within their normal routes. In these circumstances the Provider will be in contact with the User to arrange an alternative address.
The Provider will supply all goods to the delivery company in good order and will ensure that goods arrive at the User’s chosen delivery address in the same good order.
Cancelled orders on the e-commerce facility will be refunded after deduction of a 10% charge for administration costs.

Refunds and Exchanges
We hope that you are satisfied with the goods received. Please refer to Warranty below: Replacement and Returns Policy for details specific to the Ponseti Products. This does not affect your statutory rights. STEPS Charity NPC shall not be liable for economic or financial loss or any special, indirect or consequential loss or damage whatsoever and howsoever arising. No exclusions of STEPS Charity NPC’s liability in these Terms shall apply to any damages arising from death or personal injury caused by the negligence of STEPS Charity NPC or any of its directors, employees or agents or fraudulent misstatement.
Warranty, Replacement and Returns Policy
Our aim is to give good service to customers. If the merchandise you received is defective or not as you ordered, please contact us so we can resolve it for you as quickly as we can.
Broken Sandal (within 6 months of wear)
Replacement free of charge sandals will be provided if there is a manufacturing defect, or if any part of the sandal becomes damaged through normal use.
Broken Sandal (after 6 months of wear)
If a sandal breaks or becomes damaged through normal use and has been in use for more than 6 months then we require a new foot measurement to be taken to ensure that the current size is still appropriate for the child. If the current size is still appropriate a free of charge replacement will be provided.
Broken Bar, Quick Clip, Heel Cap or Collar
A free of charge replacement will be provided if the bar or any part of the bar is broken or damaged through normal use in accordance with these instructions. Note: The product is for naptime and night use only. Walking in the Ponseti AFO can damage the bar and wear the heel caps. Replacement heel caps are available on request.
Please notify us within 7 days of receipt. Please insure you consult the size guide before ordering. If the incorrect size is ordered you may be liable for any extra freight charges when exchanging the product. Please make sure the product is in a re-saleable condition.
If you are dissatisfied and request a refund these guidelines must be followed in order to receive a full credit:
Products must be in new, re-saleable, unmarked condition and in original packaging.
The products must be returned within 30 days of invoice date.
This policy and warranty is non-transferable. This policy covers normal wear and tear only.
This warranty is voided if the products are amended or altered in anyway, or if they are not used in accordance with these instructions. Ponseti AFOs are for use only with Ponseti abduction bars and Ponseti abduction bars are for use only with Ponseti AFOs.
Please contact us if you experience problems not outlined in this policy. Atypical matters will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
You agree to indemnify and hold STEPS Charity NPC, and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, co-branders or other partners, and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable solicitor’s fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of content you submit, post to or transmit through the Site, your use of the Site, your connection to the Site, your violation of the Terms and Conditions, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

You may pay for your products through a direct deposit. It’s exactly the same as doing an EFT payment, except you’ll have to go into your bank and physically make your direct deposit there. Please fax through your deposit slip to us on 086 602 8805 to ensure your payment is confirmed and order shipped as quickly as possible.
Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
The Provider takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.

Provider reserves the right to change, modify, add to or remove from portions or the whole of these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
