Training

STEPS has been a regional leader in Ponseti training since we started operations. Training is an essential pillar to build capacity and skills so that all children can access treatment no matter where they live. We held the first Ponseti training workshop in South Africa in 2006 which gained consensus for the method.

Our training model

Our training is done in partnership with the South African Paediatric Orthopaedic Society and is certified with CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points. As members of the Global Clubfoot Initiative we helped to produce the ACT (Africa Clubfoot Training) curriculum. We use ACT training materials for all our training.
