When did you find out that your baby had/would have clubfoot?
I found out at the hospital as soon as he was born.
How did you feel?
I was so stressed, thinking that my child would be disabled… and that there isn’t any help but fortunately there is help!
What was the correction process like for you and your family?
It was so emotional and tough at the same time.
How did you find out about Steps?
As soon as I went to the Johannesburg hospital. I was introduced to a lady who is part of the Steps organisation who explained to me that everything would be alright.
How did Steps assist you on your journey?
By giving me courage and strength that my child would eventually walk.
What advice would you offer to other families going through similar journeys?
I would like to advise them not to give up nor lose hope because this truly works… I never thought that I would see the day my son took his first step! And I did.
