Olympic gold medalist Cameron van der Burgh has been a Steps Ambassador and clubfoot champion for a year now. We have loved partnering with this enthusiastic, kind, and determined champion who has won multiple awards yet remains so grounded and willing to help others.

Cameron was recently interviewed on 702 Radio by Azania Mosaka. They talk resilience, retirement from swimming in a couple years, entrepreneurship, and about Cameron’s partnership with Steps.

“It’s something that I’m very passionate about,” he says, explaining how rewarding it is to visit kids at clubfoot clinics and see their progress.

“It’s so easy to fix if you just know what to do.”

You can listen to the full interview below. If you want to jump to the discussion about Steps, that starts at the 15-minute mark.

Thanks so much to Cameron for the incredible work he does as a Steps Ambassador, helping more kids born with clubfoot throughout Southern Africa walk, run – and swim!
