Ivy Muffler, Steps clinic coordinator at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital, says, “Gracelynne is one of the first babies I met when I started working for Steps as a clinic coordinator and parent adviser. She was just seven days old. She’s adorable.”
Mom Bianca Sammering shares, “Gracelynn is now seven years old and she is doing great. She is attending school and doing really well. I feel very positive about Gracelynn and a bright future.
The hardest thing for me was when I saw my child with a clubfoot. I was scared and unsure whether it could be fixed. The encouragement of the doctors helped me through the journey. They assured me that everything will be okay.
I am very proud of the result of her feet. She can run and play and walk like any other child.

Gracelynn is a wonderful child. She loves to play ‘Doctor’. She wants to be a doctor when she grows up.
My dreams for Gracelynne are to learn hard and to become a doctor and help other children.
